Manchester City signs the Argentine midfielder Maximo Perrone on a five-and-a-half year deal

Manchester City have successfully acquired the talented 20-year-old Argentinian midfielder, Maximo Perrone, from Velez Sarsfield. The rising star has inked a five-and-a-half-year deal to join the Etihad Stadium team.

Perrone made his professional debut with Velez in March 2022, showcasing his skills in a total of 33 appearances and netting three goals with two assists.

He also played a crucial role in helping Velez reach the semi-finals of the Copa Libertadores, though he missed both legs of the last-four defeat to Flamengo.

Not only has Perrone made a name for himself in club football, but he has also represented Argentina at the U-16 level and is currently competing in the U-20 South American Championship in Colombia as part of the national team.

Perrone follows in the footsteps of 2022 World Cup winner, Julian Alvarez, who made the move to Manchester City last year. He joins a long list of Argentinian players who have donned the sky blue for the club. With Perrone’s addition, Manchester City’s midfield is sure to be a force to be reckoned with.
