City's Future in Safe Hands as EDS & Under-18's Lift Their Respective League Trophies

The future of Manchester City football club is undoubtedly in safe hands as the younger generation keep proving why they deserve a  spot in the future City XI. The EDS squad celebrated our Premier League 2 title triumph by lifting the trophy at the Etihad Stadium.

The presentation took place following our dominant 7-0 win over Everton in our final game of the season. Cole Palmer and skipper Liam Delap both bagged a brace with Rico Lewis, Kayky and substitute Darko Gyabi also on target for Brian Barry-Murphy’s side. The victory set the seal on what has been a magnificent season for our Under-23 who won 16 of our 26 games on the way to retaining the title.

Furthermore, Manchester City’s Under-18s celebrated winning the Under-18s Premier League North title with an outstanding 13-0 over Newcastle United in our last home match of the season. Hattricks from Will Dickson and Nico O’Reilly, and braces from Carlos Borges and Josh Adam were accompanied by goals from Kian Breckin, Dire Mebude and Matty Whiitingham to give us an impressive win.

Celebrations continued afterwards, as City were awarded the Under-18s Premier League North title. This proves the club’s future potential and ability to produce fully-fledged world class football players. The future is sky blue and hopefully, the seniors could defend the premier league title from contenders – Liverpool who are a point behind.
