Oscar Bobb Nearing Return After Long Injury Layoff

Manchester City midfielder and winger Oscar Bobb is edging closer to a return after being sidelined since August with a fractured leg. The Norwegian international has rejoined partial training at the City Football Academy (CFA), raising hopes of his impact in the second half of the season.

Cruel Setback

Bobb, 21, had an impressive preseason in the United States, showcasing his creativity and flair. However, an injury in training just before the season began ruled him out of action, stalling his promising start.

Guardiola’s Confidence

City manager Pep Guardiola is optimistic about Bobb’s ability to regain form quickly once fully recovered.

“It’s the first long injury for Oscar Bobb, but with his physicality, I don’t think he needs too much time to get fit and ready,” Guardiola said. “In the last two days, he has taken part in partial training, and that’s good news for us.”

Guardiola also praised Bobb’s unique qualities, hinting at his potential to make an immediate impact when he returns.

FA Cup Exclusion

Despite the positive update, Bobb is not expected to feature in City’s FA Cup third-round match against Salford City on Saturday at 17:45 (UK). The club is prioritizing his full recovery.

Boost for the Second Half

As City navigates a packed schedule, Bobb’s return could strengthen Guardiola’s squad depth, adding creativity and energy to the midfield.
