Manuel Akanji: It Feels a Little Bit Like Home Already, Am More Confident as a Centre-back

Manuel Akanji was the last summer signing by Manchester City and he has adapted to the team and the Premier League quickly than a lot of people would have expected.

Akanji‘s impact on the defensive line has been visible throughout his outstanding performances to an extent that it looks like he has been part of this Man City side for years. Hosted on the ‘Ask Man City Anything‘ show, Akanji answers some of the questions sent by City fans around the globe.

The first question was from former Manchester City defender – Nathan D’Laryea who asked the Swiss centre-back what he has enjoyed the most since he joined City from Borrussia Dortmund and if Manchester is starting to feel like home yet.

“I think what I enjoy the most is being a part of this team [Manchester City], I really enjoy to be on the pitch with them [Man City teammates] – in training and in the games.

It is so much fun especially when we’re winning games and I feel really confident there. That’s why I think it also feels a little bit like home already. Its been a short time but it’s gonna feel better when I am here a little bit longer”, Akanji responded.

More questions were asked and answers were given. But what do we know about our cultured centre-half? Find out more about Manuel Akanji via the ‘Ask Man City Anything‘ episode below.
