Man City Slash Matchday Ticket Prices for 2025/26 Season

Man City Slash Matchday Man City Slash Matchday Ticket Prices for 2025/26 Season

In a major win for fans, Manchester City have announced significant reductions in matchday ticket prices for the upcoming 2025/26 season. The club aims to create a more inclusive and passionate atmosphere at the Etihad Stadium.

Building on the decision to freeze season ticket prices, City will lower the cost of individual match tickets by up to 43% compared to last season. These reductions apply across all match categories:

  • Category A: £40–£60
  • Category B: £35–£55
  • Category C: £30–£50

Under-18s will pay 50% of the standard rate, while 18-21-year-olds, seniors (over 65), and disabled supporters will receive a 25% discount.

Tickets for marquee games such as the Manchester derby and matches against Liverpool have seen their cheapest prices reduced by 43%, while the most expensive options are down by 22%.

Though there is no confirmed update on Champions League pricing, expectations are that prices will also remain accessible despite the increase in group stage fixtures from three to four.

Flexible Pricing Policy

City have introduced a flexible pricing approach for games affected by scheduling changes. If a match is rescheduled due to cup competitions or other conflicts, ticket prices will not increase—and may even be reduced to accommodate fan inconvenience.

This change follows backlash from fans, especially regarding the April match against Aston Villa, where midweek scheduling and high prices led to criticism. The new pricing model aims to prevent similar situations in the future.

Working with Fans

The initiative follows extensive discussions with the club’s fan advisory board, City Matters, chaired by Alex Howell. Their efforts have also contributed to improved Flexi Gold season ticket offerings and more available routes to securing a season ticket.

City Matters responded to the announcement with the following statement:

“City Matters warmly welcome this announcement from the club, making matchday attendance more accessible and ensuring a vibrant atmosphere at the Etihad Stadium.

Through our dialogue with the club, the matchday pricing reductions, season ticket price freeze, release of new season tickets, and Flexi Gold season ticket fee adjustments highlight the value of fan voices through City Matters.

This announcement shows the club’s commitment to City Matters and is a positive end to this season and our working relationship. City Matters look forward to continued engagement and transparency with the club to achieve our shared ambition for Manchester City’s success.”

With these changes, City reaffirm their commitment to fan inclusivity and a lively matchday experience, setting a precedent in Premier League fan engagement.
