“I liked the way we did it — both with and without the ball. It’s been a long time since we played this well,” Guardiola said. “The players showed commitment and quality against a top-tier opponent.”

City’s perfect group stage campaign — winning all three matches — ensured they finished top of their group. Guardiola emphasized that the win was a reminder of what the team is capable of: “We’ve adjusted a few things, and today, we looked like the team we’ve been in the past decade.”
