1. Chasing More Silverware
Guardiola has led City to 18 major trophies in nine seasons, but the 2024/25 campaign saw only the Community Shield added. The squad will be aiming to bounce back with another international title to kickstart 2025/26.
2. New Faces, New Bonds
Time spent abroad offers a great chance for new signings to integrate. With Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli, Rayan Cherki, and Tijjani Reijnders joining the squad, the tournament offers a valuable period to learn Guardiola’s methods and bond with teammates.
3. Debuting the Sash
City will wear two new kits in the US: the 2025/26 PUMA Home kit and the new KidSuper alternative. The Home shirt brings back the diagonal sash design for the first time on a home strip, blending tradition with modern style.
4. Unfamiliar Foes
City will meet Wydad and Al Ain for the first time, with potential knockouts against teams like Real Madrid, Salzburg, or Al Hilal. These unfamiliar matchups bring new tactical tests and cultural flavor both on the pitch and in the stands.
5. Global Festival Atmosphere
With fans from all over the world—especially Africa and South America—expected to fill the stadiums, the tournament promises a unique and passionate atmosphere, echoing the vibe of an international World Cup but at the club level.
