City’s friendly against Girona today is live on CITY+ and Recast. Kick-off at the Academy Stadium is at 13:00 (UK) or 15:00 (CAT), with Man City’s Matchday Live coverage starting at 12:00 (UK) or 14:00 (CAT).

Natalie Pike will be presenting pitch side, with Shaun Goater and Paul Dickov as guests.

Live commentary throughout the 90 minutes will be provided by Alistair Mann and Michael Brown.

Girona, who are part of the City Football Group, are currently 13th in the La Liga table.

And the front free is comprised of Cole Palmer and Riyad Mahrez either side of Erling Haaland.

WORLD CUP RETURN

Saturday’s clash with Michel’s side represents City’s first match since the World Cup break, with Gundogan and De Bruyne back among the squad since returning from Qatar.

Unfortunately the midfield pair exited the tournament at the group stage as Germany and Belgium missed out on the knockout stages, respectively.

GIRONA

Manchester City’s Spanish opposition come into the meeting at the Academy Stadium sitting 13th in La Liga with 16 points. In what is their third season at Spain’s top table, they have won four, drawn four and lost six.
