Stones Links Up with England Squad While Continuing Injury Recovery

John Stones has arrived at the England training camp in Spain as he continues his recovery from a thigh injury, despite not being available for selection in this month’s international matches against Andorra and Senegal.

The Manchester City centre-back has been out of action since February and will miss the upcoming fixtures. However, his presence in the camp marks his first involvement with the national team since Thomas Tuchel took charge.

England’s official X (formerly Twitter) account shared an update: “John Stones is joining the Three Lions for a number of days in Spain to continue his rehabilitation from injury. Good to have you with us for the start of camp, Stonesy.”

Stones endured another season hampered by injuries during the 2024–25 campaign, featuring in only 20 matches for Manchester City. His last appearance came in a 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16 on February 19.
