Rayan Cherki Excited to Link Up with City Team-Mates

New signing Rayan Cherki has shared his excitement about playing alongside Manchester City’s elite attacking players after completing his move to the Club.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a five-year contract and will be part of Pep Guardiola’s squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

This marks another milestone in Cherki’s rapidly growing career, which already includes 185 appearances for Lyon and a recent senior debut for the French national team.

Now, Cherki will be joining forces with world-class talents such as Erling Haaland, Omar Marmoush, and Phil Foden, as City continue their pursuit of more trophies under Guardiola’s leadership.

Cherki’s First Words as a City Player

In his first official interview after joining the club, Cherki expressed his enthusiasm about the quality and style of his new team-mates.

“There are incredible players here – some of the best in the world,” he said.

“I’m here to enjoy playing with my team-mates, bring joy through my game, and help deliver for the club and our fans.”

With his arrival, Cherki adds even more creativity and energy to City’s already dynamic attacking lineup, ahead of what promises to be another exciting chapter for the club.
