City Look Forward After Champions League Penalty Heartbreak

Manchester City

Manchester City defender Ruben Dias vowed to move forward after the team’s gut-wrenching Champions League exit on penalties to Real Madrid. Despite a dominant performance, City fell short in the shootout following a 4-4 aggregate draw.

Dominant Display Ends in Disappointment

Dias acknowledged the team’s control throughout the match but lamented the penalty missteps. “We dominated the game, the whole game,” he said. “In the end, you go to penalties, but the effort was there. We had our chances. It’s obviously a difficult one to take.”

United in Moving Forward

The defender emphasized the importance of learning from the setback and focusing on the remaining competitions. “There’s only one way, the way is forward,” Dias declared. “We won’t have much time to rest. It’s a busy part of the season. We know that now is the moment to be strong, especially in the head, now that we’re fighting for two very important competitions.”
