Transfer Round-Up

Napoli are ready to make a £45m deal to reunite Jack Grealish with Kevin De Bruyne.

Napoli are ready to make a £45m deal to reunite Jack Grealish with Kevin De Bruyne.

Napoli are preparing to invest £45 million in either Jack Grealish or Alejandro Garnacho, but they have made it clear that they won’t be pursuing both players, according to The Sun.

The Serie A club’s top priority seems to be Jack Grealish, with the 29-year-old reportedly available for a transfer fee around £45 million. Napoli are eager to bring the English international to Italy, primarily to reunite him with his former Manchester City teammate, Kevin De Bruyne. Together, the two formed one of the most dynamic midfield duos in European football, and Napoli hopes to recreate that magic at the heart of their own attack. The prospect of this reunion has excited both fans and insiders, who believe Grealish’s creativity and vision could be the missing piece for the club’s aspirations in Serie A and Europe.

Grealish’s future at Manchester City has become increasingly uncertain. Recently, he was left out of the squad for City’s final Premier League match of the season against Fulham, and he also missed the Club World Cup roster. This has sparked speculation that Grealish could be heading for the exit door, despite still being a key figure for Pep Guardiola in the past. His departure would mark the end of a chapter for a player who made a £100 million move to City just a few seasons ago.

On the other side, Manchester United are setting a much higher asking price for 20-year-old forward Alejandro Garnacho. The club reportedly wants £70 million to part ways with the talented Argentine, making any potential transfer for him a much more expensive proposition. While Garnacho has shown flashes of brilliance, including vital goals and assists in his breakout season, United seem determined to hold on to him, possibly as part of their long-term plans for the future.

While Napoli’s preference for Grealish is clear, the club’s pursuit could hinge on a few key factors. Will Manchester City allow Grealish to leave? Will the midfielder push for a move in search of more playing time? And can Napoli act quickly enough to secure the deal before other clubs step in?

As the summer transfer window continues, all eyes will be on these two players, with Napoli’s ambition to strengthen their squad and continue their challenge for top honors both domestically and in Europe.
