Manchester City Eye Chelsea Goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli

Manchester City Eye Chelsea Goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli

Manchester City are reportedly planning a move for Chelsea’s third-choice goalkeeper

Marcus Bettinelli, following the departure of veteran Scott Carson, according to
The Telegraph.

The 33-year-old is considered to have the right profile to support City’s goalkeeping lineup,
and the club hopes to complete the signing before the Club World Cup.

Bettinelli has been at Chelsea for four seasons but has made just one appearance. Despite limited
game time, his status as a homegrown player makes him a valuable addition, helping
City meet squad registration requirements for both the Premier League and
Champions League.

The interest in Bettinelli comes soon after Manchester City confirmed that
Scott Carson would be leaving the club after six years of service.
