Manchester is red as the Cityzens get demolished by the red devils in a 2-1 defeat at the Old Trafford.

The 189th Manchester Derby was much anticipated by many. It was held at the Old Trafford where Manchester United emerged victorious over Manchester City courtesy of Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford goals to come back from a 1-0 lead by City.

Jack Grealish opened the scoring account for City but goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford, the first a controversial one, ensured three points for United.

WHAT IT MEANS

The result means Manchester City remain five points behind leaders Arsenal who will play against Tottenham tomorrow. City have 39 points from 18 games as they approach the official halfway mark of the season.

WHAT’S NEXT

City’s busy January continues with another huge Premier League clash on Thursday, January 19 when they will host to Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad, kick off pencilled in for 8:00 PM (UK time) or 10:00 PM (CAT time).

That’s then followed by another home league encounter, this time against Wolves, on Sunday, January 22, with kick-off slated for 2:00 PM (UK) or 4:00 PM (CAT).
