Ait-Nouri Targets Improvement Under Guardiola After Man City Debut

Rayan Ait-Nouri says he is confident of improving his game under Pep Guardiola after making his Manchester City debut at the Club World Cup.

The 24-year-old impressed during City’s 6-0 win over Al Ain and spoke of his enthusiasm at the opportunity to work under Guardiola and alongside City’s elite squad.

“It’s a big honour. I can improve a lot with him. He’s the best manager and I’m very happy to work with him,” Ait-Nouri said.

The Algerian full-back also praised the quality of his teammates, including striker Erling Haaland.

“We know Erling is a great player… It’s good to play with him and the other players. It’s the best team in the world on its good day,” he added.

Ait-Nouri said he enjoyed the “freedom” he was given in his debut and hopes to continue playing with the same confidence throughout the tournament.
